This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. Shelby County Warrant Records is a private reference. It cannot confirm, recall, clear, or serve a warrant; accept bond or other payment; arrange surrender; schedule court; or provide legal advice. Contact the Sheriff, Shelby County Circuit Clerk, issuing municipal court, or a licensed Alabama attorney.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Route a request according to the court and function involved. A phone number can help identify the right office, but the researched contacts do not promise telephone confirmation of warrant status.
- Suspected county warrant: the Shelby County magistrates page instructs the person to appear in person at the Sheriff’s Department Warrants Division. The Sheriff’s main line is 205-670-6000, and the warrant-related line printed by the clerk is 205-669-4181.
- Circuit or District court file: contact the Shelby County Circuit Clerk at 205-669-3760. The office is in Room 1F, 112 North Main Street, Columbiana, Alabama 35051, with mail sent to P.O. Box 1810, Columbiana, AL 35051.
- Warrant-magistrate routing: call 205-670-5262 for the county warrant magistrate. Felonies, county traffic matters, and misdemeanors outside municipal limits follow the county route described by the clerk.
- Law-enforcement record or office routing: the Sheriff’s Records line is 205-669-3854. The Sheriff’s mailing address is P.O. Box 1095, Columbiana, AL 35051.
- Jail, release, or bond question: call the Sheriff’s Jail, Bonding, Property, Release, and Booking line at 205-670-6066. Around-the-clock intake and release does not mean every clerk, magistrate, or property-bond function is available at all hours.
- Municipal case: contact the city court that issued the citation or complaint. City ordinance, municipal traffic, and city failure-to-appear records generally remain with that municipal clerk rather than the Shelby County Circuit Clerk.
Before contacting an office, collect the full legal name, date of birth or aliases, known case or ticket number, approximate year, and issuing court. Ask separately about issued, served, recalled, bond, license, and underlying-case status. A warrant allegation is not a conviction, and an empty public-list result does not establish that no warrant exists.
